Recruitment 01: Partnering with Others

No matter where you serve, recruitment is an “all-play’’ effort within national ministries. Whether you are the LDHR leader, a national or local team leader, or a team member, you have a role to play, and you will need others’ help. The recruiting efforts and who is responsible for what will likely look different depending on your part of the world and your ministry’s stage.

So, what is your role, and who do you want to partner with to be most effective? Here are some questions to get you thinking.

• Departments/Strategies/Capacities (i.e., SLM, DS, Ops)
  How can you come alongside recruiting efforts to meet specific department or strategy needs?
  What coaching do strategy leaders need to create specific recruiting strategies for their departments?
  Who can help with this?
• The National Ministry/Leadership Team
  What are the national strategic recruiting goals/plans? Have you identified specific recruiting needs?
  Is there a national recruiting schedule, and what is the focus or rhythm? How do you use LWI data to reveal trends and demographics?
  How can others help create, support, and/or pray for the existing plans?
• LDHR leaders:
  How can you cast vision for recruiting?
  How can you work with the National Team and other strategies and capacities to create or improve fruitful and sustainable recruiting practices?
