Thanks for being part of the LDHR.org story so far. It’s been such a joy to pull together the resources on this site created by ministries like yours or grown from your experiences. But, like a band that has been around for a while, we realise there may be a “back catalogue” of “hits” that you’ve maybe missed along the way. So, for all you keen LDHR leaders out there, here’s our collection of resources with some of the highest usage, along with some hidden gems that we just love.
- Crucial Conversations. This course has the highest number of subscribers – by far – and is the one we recommend most to others. Our staff, other ministries, churches, and ministry partners have all found that it has transformed how they navigate important and tricky conversations. Grab a few others and go through it if you haven’t already.
- Intercultural Leadership. If “Crucial Conversations” is the most used course, then “Intercultural Leadership” is our “hidden gem” of courses. The authors’ deep and rich experience in cultural understanding has led to this insightful and thorough starting point for us all as we seek to work well together. Hosting this course will serve your national staff team well.
- Leadership Pipeline Process (LPP) Lite. Helping leaders think about the next generation of leaders is a central way LDHR can work strategically with others. If the whole concept of developing a leadership pipeline seems daunting, this is the place to start: make it about the conversations, not the forms and processes.
- Members’ Processes (only available to LDHR leaders within the CCCI family). We make most of our resources available to everyone, but there’s some stuff that’s just for LDHR people. These “Big 7” processes are at the heart of making the people function work.
- Blog – the Back Catalogue. We tend to read blogs when they are first published, but we’ve designed many of our blog articles as resources you will want to revisit as you develop your thinking and practice in particular areas. We’ve arranged the blog page so you can search through categories and specific topics and even look at our suggested posts. Grab a coffee, have a rummage around, and see what inspires you!
- Developing LDHR skills in others. We’re here to make your role easier, and that includes developing LDHR skills in others. Some of these resources are a bit hidden, so we thought we’d point you to some of our favourites:
-
- Somewherestan LPP Case Study. The best way to learn about the Leadership Pipeline is to try it out. We’ve created the fictional country of Somewherestan for you to do this. It has an overview of the country, information on five potential leaders, as well as the other tools your leadership team will need to practice a Leadership Pipeline Process.
- LDHR and Recruitment. Helping your team and others think through LDHR’s role and other people’s roles in recruitment can be tricky. Here are a few ideas to get you started (and a slide deck to turn it into a training session).
- Reza’s Challenge (a staff lifecycle case study). Need a resource for a retreat? This 3-part case study gives an introduction to Reza’s story, with three further episodes covering the different aspects of the staff lifecycle (originally designed to be emailed to delegates at the beginning of each day). The case studies feature a wide selection of inputs, including diary extracts, emails, summaries, and even a police report!
- The Theophilus Reports. Looking for something with some Biblical input? How about looking at the book of Acts through an LDHR lens? The Theophilus reports are based on an overview of all the people management issues we could find in the book of Acts, along with four Biblical case studies from Acts and a “lightning round” of mini case studies.
There’s loads more stuff for you to find on the site, but we don’t want to spoil all your fun. Enjoy clicking around, and if we can help you track something down, do get in touch.
