Let’s talk about Recruitment!

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
(Matthew 9:37-38)

I’ve never heard anyone say, “We have more than enough people for the ministry work. We really don’t need any more.”

Instead, it seems we are always looking for more people to join us in the mission.

We know recruiting is important, but what does that actually look like? Whose job is it? And what can we each do to help?

As we heard from many of you, the Global LDHR team began thinking about these questions, and we’d like to share some ideas with you in this blog post series.

We’ve grouped the ideas into five main categories. We’ll unpack more details for each of these in the next five posts.

We’ll share some resources and hope you will share your ideas with us. As always, you are invited to download, edit, and translate anything from ldhr.org to better fit your context. You may want to share these posts with others on your team and discuss possible action steps together.

We also hope to hear from you – what has worked, what questions and suggestions you have. You may want to think about these five areas ahead of time: What is challenging for you? What is going well?

We look forward to learning together!
