When I started in LDHR, I literally knew nothing. I was available and (semi) willing, and the organisation was a bit desperate, so I got the job. How about you? If you\u2019re typical within our global movement or the wider mission world, as you begin in Leadership Development and HR, you\u2019re probably not overflowing with qualifications and experience in this arena. That\u2019s OK. You are exactly why we built this site<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Over the years, LDHR.org<\/strong><\/a> has grown and is brimming with resources, but that can be a bit overwhelming, so we thought we\u2019d curate the essentials to get you started. Here are the first five places we suggest you visit as you start out on what we hope is a long and fulfilling journey in developing and caring for mission staff teams.<\/p>\n

  1. \u201cYour First 100 Days in LDHR<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d As the name suggests, this is a great starting place. Offering 14 easy-to-grasp modules, this course gives you a complete overview of the LDHR role, with loads of connected resources to let you dig deeper into the stuff that excites you (or looks like it could be a priority need!). Using the Learning Centre course with a coach is probably the most effective way of learning and applying, but it\u2019s also available as a series of PDFs<\/a> if you just want to read it through.<\/li>\n
  2. The LDHR Framework<\/strong><\/a>. You\u2019ll cover this (and our other essentials) in Your First 100 Days, but if you\u2019re keen to get to the headlines, this is what LDHR is all about. It walks through all the different elements of the LDHR function, no matter how big or small your national ministry. It also helps you navigate LDHR.org<\/a>, as we\u2019ve structured nearly all our resources around the four LDHR quadrants of the framework.<\/li>\n
  3. Evalu8<\/strong><\/a>. Keen to start figuring out your priorities? We suggest you start with the Evalu8 Lite<\/strong> tab. It\u2019s best if you can work through the evaluation with other leaders (or your LDHR team, if you\u2019re fortunate enough to have a team!), but just getting input from others and having a go yourself will get you going in a good direction.<\/li>\n
  4. Processes<\/strong><\/a>. It wouldn\u2019t be unusual for you to arrive to a backlog of issues as you start out in LDHR. We understand. Our available-to-all processes are the most common areas you\u2019re likely to deal with. Take our stuff, download it, and make it your own\u2014we\u2019re not precious about these things; we\u2019re here to serve.<\/li>\n
  5. Members\u2019 Area<\/strong><\/a>. If you\u2019re part of the CCCI LDHR family globally, you\u2019ll find our best mission-specific resources locked inside a special area just for you.
