I wasn\u2019t confident my proposed topic would resonate with the participants. <strong>I had put two years of work into it, and now I was ready to give it all up to avoid rejection.<\/strong> This material was so important to me because it was birthed out of my personal search for identity and significance as a woman. I was eager to share the freedom and truths I had discovered in my process, but I was so nervous that I was ready to cower. I\u2019ve faced such moments before in other situations, but God had never allowed me to give in to fear. He did not allow it this time, either.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\">My spiritual director gave me a retreat plan as a parting gift just before the conference. The content of the retreat focused on trauma, which at first seemed irrelevant to me. However, I decided to do the retreat and was surprised at what God revealed to me:<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;padding-left: 40px\">When I reflected on my panic and what might have been behind it, I remembered a situation from 15 years prior. As a young believer, I was already desiring to serve others. Being fluent in English and reading Western spiritual literature encouraged me to share lessons I\u2019d been learning with other girls. I soon developed my first study course on godliness and gathered a group of girls in the church to share the course. To my disappointment, they did not accept me as a teacher, which hurt me deeply.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;padding-left: 40px\">In response to that experience, <strong>I buried my yet-undiscovered gift of teaching deep and decided never to return to it again.<\/strong> This awareness shed light on my current fears and panic attack, but that wasn\u2019t all.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">God began to show me events and opportunities through which He was slowly bringing to the surface the gift of teaching I had buried. It started at a leadership conference a few years earlier when my friends asked me to share a testimony at a women\u2019s time they organized. As it turned out later, I not only got to share my story but also became the keynote speaker. I viewed the unplanned experience negatively and even jokingly accused my friends of setting me up for failure.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;padding-left: 40px\">But, after the event, a staff woman approached me and asked me to share the same topic upon our return with a group of women in our city. I was surprised that she was interested in my story but agreed to give it another try. This time, I was well prepared and received a positive response.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;padding-left: 40px\">Other opportunities followed to speak to women and share my insights and life lessons at different events. God also reminded me of how others had repeatedly told me of my ability to teach, but I had not taken it seriously then.<\/p><p>So, to my surprise, my retreat ended with the healing of my trauma and me being fully prepared to speak at the Women\u2019s Conference. This time, the response exceeded my expectations. And then, it was as if God opened the heavens and poured out more opportunities to teach &#8211; not only in my country but in our region also.<\/p><p><strong>Each opportunity was a gift and an invitation to follow God boldly, <\/strong>even though I didn\u2019t understand why I was honored to stand before others, much less teach. He continues to affirm me in my gifting and recently encouraged me with the words of my pastor. In expressing gratitude after a Spiritual Formation course I taught at church, he said, \u201cYou are teaching not only on your behalf but on behalf of all the women in the church, witnessing that women in our region can teach too!\u201d I am grateful to God for His work in my life and the privilege of serving others through the spiritual gifts He has entrusted me with.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-157122d elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"157122d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2a99774 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"2a99774\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-85c1447\" data-id=\"85c1447\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-523d8f6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"523d8f6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>**<em>I am preparing to serve in Lebanon.
