{"id":1006,"date":"2016-02-08T08:27:57","date_gmt":"2016-02-08T08:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teamleadertraining.org\/?p=711"},"modified":"2024-07-11T11:58:00","modified_gmt":"2024-07-11T15:58:00","slug":"team-leader-training-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ldhr.org\/es\/team-leader-training-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Leader Trainings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is great to hear stories of successful Team Leader Trainings around the world!<br \/>\nThanks to Western Europe and Southeast Asia Areas for sharing these stories and pictures!<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Western Europe took on the challenge of <strong>training 100 (!) field\u00a0and capacity team leaders<\/strong> with 10 days of development for 1 purpose \u2013 healthy teams, hence the title CXI. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>The time\u00a0included\u00a0pre-seminar work,\u00a05-days of on-location seminars, individual assignments, and\u00a0peer and\u00a0leader coaching. Some of the topics covered were: lead yourself, planning and meetings, grow and develop your team, collaboration, fund development and MPD, and\u00a0how the staff development cycle and strategic planning work together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Content delivery highlighted practical skills and adult learning activities.<\/strong>\u00a0Participants clearly connected how\u00a0Staff Development Cycle tools\u00a0help and serve what they are trying to do as team leaders, and walked away\u00a0understanding how they work.<\/p>\n<p>In the process, the organizers learned they need to leave more time for participants to reflect, capture and process each day\u2019s content, and they need to be clear about post-event assignments and help some with application to &#8220;real&#8221; life situations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>\u201cI came feeling like I really shouldn&#8217;t be a team leader,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> like I didn&#8217;t really\u00a0want to do it anymore.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Now I have a new excitement. I feel confident<\/em><br \/>\n<em> and I\u00a0have concrete tools and skills that I can use.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u201cThanks for all your efforts \u2013 it changed my attitude to my team members.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>The decision I made to support my team,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> so that they can develop to the\u00a0staff in our department<\/em><br \/>\n<em> [has had the greatest impact on my work].\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In\u00a0East Indonesia,\u00a0<strong>30 local leaders and their wives<\/strong> learned how to be more effective leaders and missionaries in the field.
