{"id":29580,"date":"2023-07-17T11:44:04","date_gmt":"2023-07-17T15:44:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ldhr.org\/?p=29580"},"modified":"2024-07-09T17:15:14","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T21:15:14","slug":"masters-graduates-in-cru-lac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ldhr.org\/de\/masters-graduates-in-cru-lac\/","title":{"rendered":"Master\u2019s Graduates in Cru LAC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"29580\" class=\"elementor elementor-29580\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2d45195 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"2d45195\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-9b90fb8\" data-id=\"9b90fb8\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ca8319 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9ca8319\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On June 29th, <strong>47 students walked the stage graduating with a Master\u2019s in Leadership from Kairos University<\/strong><sup>1<\/sup><strong>!<\/strong> The ceremony took place in Medellin, Colombia, and the students, all full-time Cru staff from all over Latin America &amp; the Caribbean, had their picture, role, and a single phrase of their choice displayed behind them as they walked.<\/p><p>This was the culmination of a two-year program, which began as an advanced leadership training initiative for senior staff in LAC. Upon its further development, a partnership was made between UNILID<sup>2<\/sup>, the International Leadership Consortium (ILC)<sup>3<\/sup>, and Kairos University.<\/p><p>The coursework focused on a <strong>\u201chead, heart, hands\u201d approach to learning<\/strong> \u2013 meaning participants were not only learning content but also integrating character development and craft into the curriculum. Each student was guided\/coached by a faculty mentor, a life mentor, and a ministry mentor who would meet with them throughout the program to help with feedback, comprehension, and application. The learning journey consisted of learning experiences (or courses) focused on <strong>six major character traits<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li>Maturing Disciple Maker<\/li><li>Biblically-Rooted Christian Thinker<\/li><li>Servant-Shepherd-Steward Leader<\/li><li>Healthy Relater<\/li><li>Contextually Reflective Practitioner<\/li><li>Vocationally Competent Professional<\/li><\/ul><p>The courses were flexible in nature, making it feasible for these 47 students, many of whom were learning new roles in light of the major reorganization of the ministry.
